Requirements for most of our positions in the sector

  • A national criminal history check (police check) will be required for all roles in the sector.
  • In addition to a police check, some roles may also require you to complete a Working with children/vulnerable people check.
  • Aged care roles - all aged care workers must have had the annual influenza (flu) vaccine for the current year to work or visit an aged care facility.
  • Disability services roles only – Disability services roles only – you will need to complete the Disability Quality and Safeguards Commission’s worker orientation online training module, ‘Quality, Safety and You’ and
  • undertake a national Disability Worker Screening Check.

  • Cert 3 in Disability or Individual Care. (15hrs/week) (FNQ Australia)
  • Cert in Aged Care or Disability Care. (20hrs/.week) (Toronto, Canada)
